Culinary Arts Contest Update 3/21/2017

Concerns have been raised regarding the time line that has been posted for the post-secondary contestants (high school contestants are unaffected).
First, I apologize for the confusion and I intend to address these concerns here on this blog. So, in order to be equitable for all post-secondary contestants, we need to make an adjustment which differs from the Skills USA National manual.
NOTE: Post-secondary contestants will be allowed to have their chicken fabricated in advance for their entree preparation. A second whole chicken will be provided for their meat fabrication skills in part II.

i.e. Chicken fabrication for the post-secondary contestant will be 'off the clock' * carrots and alliums will be peeled and ALL produce will be washed and ready for use.

The Technical Standards have been sent with this information via email for your contest.  Please read through it carefully so you know what to expect for the contest.  Pay close attention to the uniform requirements because the judges are very strict with regard to them.
